Last Day for Registration: September 20th
Objective: Students will be able to clearly and thoroughly relay their ideas to their peers and in front of an audience.
Students will meet for an hour every Thursday from 6PM to 7PM
The course will follow the following trajectory:
Weeks 1-3 Foundations & Speech Structure: FISH Philosophy intro, basic speech structure, and first mini-group speech delivery.
Weeks 4-6 Argumentation & Vocal Style: Claim-Warrant-Impact framework, dictionary & emotion voice drills, active listening.
Weeks 7-8 "Who Am I?" & Hooking Audiences: Self-expression project setup, storytelling techniques, and Attention Grabbing Devices.
Weeks 9-11 Workshop & Showcase: In-class practice, parent-invited final presentation sessions and celebration!
